Excipient World Academy: Role of Excipients in Continuous Manufacturing of Solid Oral Dosage Forms

Continuous manufacturing is a hot topic within the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA. Pharmaceutical companies are actively developing continuous manufacturing processes both in generic and innovative oral solid dosage drug products. Excipients play a critical role in continuous manufacturing and this webinar will discuss the key excipient properties including particle size distribution, compatibility and flowability that need to be considered to design the most efficient processes. In addition, the role of excipients in twin screw granulation as well as the regulatory landscape for continuous manufacturing will be discussed.

This webinar included a 2 hours of interactive presentations by academic, industry, and regulatory experts providing unique perspectives. Discussion and Q&A was encouraged throughout.
